Slow Motion was a sub label of Motion and was formed in 2006 to showcase deeper and progressive trance music. The debut vinyl release was Kalafut & Fygle 'Novocaine', which was backed with a superb remix by Mark Otten and was licensed to the DJ Tiësto - In Search Of Sunrise 5 - Los Angeles and the Trance - The Ultimate Collection Volume 2 2006 compilation albums. SMOTN001 was the debut and only release through the collaboration between Motion and Electronica Exposed, as Tuned Distribution Ltd. who distributed Motion and Slow Motion closed without paying for the sales on SMOTN001. Slow Motion could not secure a suitable distribution agreement with any other company and therefore, the management of Motion and Slow Motion was then returned completely to Andy Dennett, Mark Lowes and Chris Trevethan who continued to release amazing music by Marris, JPL, Thomas Penton and Funabashi on CD and digital download in 2007 before the label closed.

"Jan Kalafut & Geir Noroe Fygle, who've previously seen releases on Fireglow, make the jump to Motion Music. Already championed by Tiësto (and compiled onto 'ISOS 5') in its Mark Otten form, 'Novocaine' looks like a promising prospect indeed. Kalafut & Fygle's original is inspiring enough in itself. A complex, shifting production, it balances the scales between the deep and melodic ends of trance. Using multiple minor melodies and some extremely well employed percussion, it generates a big sound out of not very much at all. Despite having as many trance clichés as any other track on this page (piano, breakbeats, etc) it still manages to sound fresh and imaginative. Mark Otten's version might sport a slightly more powerful bottom end, but its hard to see how this is the mix of choice. The Chicane-y strings will never sound bad, but do have an air of the predictable over them. Head straight for the original for the real treat. 4/5."
